Over a decade blogging and this is why… WordPress.com reminded me this week, I’ve been blogging on their platform for nine years. Wow! That reminded me, I’ve been blogging over a decade, since I started posting on another platform first.

Looking at the numbers, at both my Dreampack related websites I’ve gained over 1000 followers. The original following tribe increased rapidly, after I switched from writing in Dutch to English. Some of you might think “well, still, 1000 plus is not a lot” and it’s true, I’ve could have gained a lot more followers.

Quality over quantity

To be honest, I don’t care that much for these numbers. For me it has always been about quality. Yes, my heart still jumps every time I get the notification another neighbor chose to start following my website. Numbers, however, are just that. The neighbors who actually respond and thus connect are far less. And that is OK, I do understand we can’t keep up with everyone and everything. I also do have to sleep, eat, grow personally, and do all those other activities that make life interesting. Therefore, I can’t connect as much and with as many, I wish I could, either.

In addition, I am not stating I publish quality posts. That’s for you, the reader to decide. Due to the fact, I always think carefully about what I create, write and publish (and that thing called living), posting at a regular base I choose not to do either. The SEO and marketing people will probably get a heart-attack, reading this 😉

Over a decade blogging and this is why…

For me, it’s about reaching out to, and connecting with my neighbors in our virtual Dreampack. The friendships I gained during the last 13 years mean the world to me.

Most of all: I sincerely hope, by creating my virtual Dreampack many years ago and still sharing my perspectives, opinions, poetry, collaborations, etc. inspire you to create your own Dreampack, to acknowledge beautiful souls and keep reaching out to them. To keep boosting your soul by embracing all of you, positives and limitations.

To build together with you the somewhere (that has been my inspiration since I was a young girl), here in our virtual Dreampack too, part of our Dreampack. That big ball we all live upon.

Thank you Beautiful Souls for holding my hand.

Warm regards,

Somewhere

Someday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere…

There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us
Somewhere…

There’s a time for us
Someday there’ll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn, time to care
Someday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find there’s a way of forgiving
Somewhere…

There’s a place for us
A time and place for us
Hold my hand and we’re halfway there
Hold my hand and I’ll take you there
Somehow…
Someday, somewhere…
